Youth Ministry

Shiloh Youth consists of pre-teens, teenagers, and Youth Volunteers who love our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Our Mission is 1 Corinthians 9:22b:

In order to be ALL THINGS our goal is to TRAIN your teenagers to use their spiritual skills and tools in order to become a Christian whom the author of Hebrews describes in Hebrews 5:14, “But solid food is for the mature, for those who have their powers of discernment trained by constant practice to distinguish good from evil.”

In order to reach ALL PEOPLE our goal is to MEET together in order to encourage, empower, and equip one another in fellowship, activity, and Bible study. As the author of Hebrews said in Hebrews 10:24-25, “And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.”

In order to develop our MEANS of Christian effectiveness our goal is to SERVE our church and community in whatever way we can to shine the light of the Gospel to the lost and needy. As Matthew 5:16 states, “In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.”

In order for SOME TO BE SAVED our goal is to LOVE all people, whether they come in our doors or we go to them. Your teenagers will learn how to display this Christ-like love through personal & corporate development & display of the Spiritual Disciplines – as discussed in the book we are studying on Wednesday Nights, Spiritual Disciplines for the Christian Life: Study Guide by Donald S. Whitney. (for an affordable copy of the study guide, follow the link)

SHILOH YOUTH "small group"

Shiloh Youth's "small group" is our Sunday School meeting that takes place in the Youth Room at 9:30 am. Here we try to slow down and make sure we understand the Scriptures better, and how to apply them to our lives. We discuss, do group work, and sometimes even perform skits (why not?).

We would love for you to join us every Wednesday night from 6 pm to 7:30 pm for some fun, fellowship, and worship in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Starting at 6pm, we serve dinner in the Fellowship Hall, and from 6:30-7:30pm we have our Worship Service. Sometimes we play group games, sometimes we sing praise songs, but we always did deeper into God's Holy Word.

This is a time where Youth strategize responses to common objections to the faith in order to better lead an unbeliever to a Gospel-centered conversation. Youth will share objections they have been confronted with, discuss answers that will lead to a conversation about Jesus, and practice their responses so that when the time comes they will be ready.
